We thought you might want to know a bit more about us and why we have this website?

We are both originally from Sydney and have been friends for a long time and we have daughters the same age.

Our husbands are business partners in their Hope Island real estate business.

Tricia moved up to Hope Island on the Gold Coast first. Julie and Peter moved up after considerable pressure was applied every time they visited!

When they saw how wonderful life is in the Gold Coast, it was an easy decision to move when the opportunity came up for our two families to buy the real estate business together.

Not that they needed an excuse, but it was a great excuse for the Mandile's to move up here too!

In the short time we have lived in Hope Island we have already seen quite a bit of change and development. But one of the difficult things we found in coming to a new area, was finding out about all the things we take for granted back in Sydney.

In an established area it is usually easy to find the things you are looking for, but with all the development and change, Hope Island is a bit different.

Simple things like finding a good hairdresser, good fishing spots, the best places to eat, finding a great mexican restuarant or who to call to fix the blinds!

And Queensland is a bit different from other parts of Australia. Each state has its own way of doing certain things, so that takes a bit of getting used to too! No daylight saving for a start.

We won't have answered all of these questions, but we are slowly getting to know the places to go, the people to ask and the things to do.

We love Hope Island living! It is almost like being on holiday every day. Our children still go to school and of course we work, but step back into our home on the water, head out to the golf club for dinner or go for a swim at the beach.

It isn't too long before we are reminded what an incredible lifestyle we have and any stress just melts away.
