Oyster Cove (OC) is a neighbour to Hope Island Resort in Gold Coast Queensland.

OC has two main precincts Calmwater Shores and Serenity Shores. Calmwater is mostly waterfront blocks, set on peninsulas in canals in small secure enclaves, whilst Serenity Shores is based around Lake Serenity.

About Oyster Cove

This residential development covers about 140ha area with both waterfront and some dry block homes. The area is still under development especially around Lake Serenity.

House styles are mixed with high set (double storey) and lowset (single storey or bungalows) homes.

In Calmwater Shores these Gold Coast waterfront homes are set on peninsulas around the canals with individual or shared pontoon boat moorings. Waterfront homes are in secured enclaves with gates and 24 hour security for privacy.

The canals are man-made waterways centred around a non tidal waterway. It is through this lake that there is access to the Broadwater through a private lock to Saltwater Creek which flows in to the Coomera River.

Lake Serenity area also provides waterfront homes that front onto the lake or onto Saltwater Creek.

OC is not an Integrated Tourism Resort therefor overseas buyers have to apply for FIRB approval for house and land purchases in this area.

The main precincts and communities include:

• Calmwater Shores - Based around the calmwater canals that are linked to the Coomera River by a lock system. Main addresses include: Calmwater Crescent, Parkview Place, Mandolin Avenue, Oyster Cove Promenade, Sabrina Avenue, Windchimes Way, Prosperity Drive and Champagne Boulevard.
• Serenity Shores – Based around Lake Serenity and some waterfront blocks front to Saltwater Creek. It is planned that Lake Serenity will be connected to Saltwater Creek via a lock system. Main addresses include: Wisemans Court, Kim Court, Tay Court, Serenity Boulevard, Tranquility Circuit, Edgewater Place and Pearl Beach Drive.

Facilities Around The Area

OC is close to many of the amenities of Oxenford and Hope Island, but as yet does not have private facilities of its own.

Local shopping can be found at Hope Island Marina and Shopping Village, Oxenford and Helensvale. Within the HIR shopping village there are fresh food shops, a deli, boutiques, and a BiLo supermarket.

There are Woolworths at both Oxenford and Helensvale's Westfield Shopping centre offers a wide range of retail shopping, fresh food, KMart, Target, Aldi, Coles and Woolies supermarkets.

Closest golf courses can be found at Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island. There is a public 25m pool at Helensvale on Discovery Drive.

Gold Coast hospital is the closest major hospital and is located in Southport. There are various medical facilities such as doctors and dentists within the local area.
