Lifestyle Alert! Sanctuary Cove was the first of the Integrated Tourism Resorts and has attracted both local and overseas residents since mid 1980s.

Couples and families are attracted to the area for the facilities, security and the environment. Oh, and the golf! Two Arnold Palmer signature golf courses.

About The Area

This suburb is not popular just for the annual Sanctuary Cove Boat Show every May, families and couples choose this Gold Coast resort for:

• golf - access to not one, but two Arnold Palmer signature golf courses, The Palms and The Pines.
• recreational facilities - The Rec Club with tennis, gymnasium and swimming pool and soon the private Country Club.
• resort lifestyle - access to marina and boutique shopping village including international hotel (Hyatt Regency resort hotel)
• boating location - marina can accommodate nearly 300 boats from 8m (25ft) to 40m (120ft). Easy access to broadwater and Pacific Ocean (without bridges).
• security - a gated community with 24 hour security

Just like neighbouring Hope Island Resort, golf buggies are the way to get around the resort, you will see buggies of all sizes and styles with room for the family or the dog! The shopping village centre has buggy parking areas.

The shopping village has narrow streets and covered pavements. There are boutique shops, gourmet cafes and restaurants based around the resort and marina lifestyle.

You won't find a big supermarket, but there is a post office and a quaint village theatre that screens movies and local productions.

Within the resort you will find a variety of house styles from low maintenance villas to palatial mansions and from golf frontage apartments and waterfront homes to parkland outlooks.

The main precincts or resort communities include:

• The Masters' Gallery - located on The Pines golf course. One and two level properties with 3 to 4 bedrooms overlooking the 15th and 16th tees.
• The Terraces – modern two storey homes with central sky atrium overlooking The Palms golf course

Facilities In The Area

Within the resort you will find parks, tennis courts and swimming pool at the Rec Club. There are sealed buggy trails that give you access to both Sanctuary Cove Shopping Village and Marina as well as access to the Hope Island Marina and Shopping Village.

Hope Island has more main stream fresh food shops and deli plus BiLo supermarket and Oxenford has the closest large Woolworths.

Gold Coast hospital is the closest major hospital and is located in Southport. There are various medical facilities such as doctors and dentists within the local area.

Eating out is a popular pasttime and there are plenty of excellent restaurants, gourmet delis and cafes within the shopping village and neighbouring suburbs of Hope Island and Paradise Point.

Whilst some waterfront properties have jetties for smaller boats. Larger boats or yachts upto 40m can be berthed in the marina which has direct Broadwater access without bridges.
